Burials at Sea
We are honored to offer burial at sea services — conducted within view of the Port Austin Reef Lighthouse on the open waters of Lake Huron. This is a separate service from our standard tours and takes place away from Turnip Rock, in a calm and meaningful setting on the water.

Turnip Rock Boat Tours is owned and operated by two USCG-licensed captains who know these waters inside and out.
A Bad Axe native who has spent decades on Lake Huron, Michael brings unmatched knowledge of the shoreline, geology, and wildlife to every tour as a USCG-licensed captain.
Mike is a co-founder and proud captain of Turnip Rock Boat Tours. His passion for the waters of Lake Huron and his deep connection to the Port Austin community make every voyage one to remember.
